This year’s theme of European Local Democracy Week which has been celebrated by member countries of Council of Europe till 2007 was determined as “Citizen participation, Consultation and Commitment”. Council of Europe determines suitable cities for the title of 12 Star City in this week that has been realized or the improvement of local democracy.

Municipality of Kadıköy joined the week by Treasure Hunt Game DA(YA)NIŞMA that took place in İ.D.E.A Kadıköy, a common work place which was opened to service recently. Participants that formed four teams accompanied by a companion travelled around Moda leaving İ.D.E.A Kadıköy. The companions took notes about route/direction selection of the groups that travel around the neighborhood without determining any route. In the lists containing stop by points, some of these points were left unclear without indication and a question was asked related with the stop by point at
these parts. By the time stop by points finished the groups came back to İ.D.E.A Kadıköy and talked about their routes.

At the end of the game, the companions explained the attitudes of the groups and brief presentations on how various age groups perceive Moda, took place by means of maps.
